Welcome to my Good Morning Snore Solution review.
Snoring can be a huge problem, not only for you, but for your partner, and possibly even other members of your household.
Countless sleepless nights are just the start, as snoring can also affect your everyday life and eventually your health as well.
I have often stated that I’m not a huge fan of certain devices aimed at curing snoring, but this is just my personal opinion. I think it has more to do with not liking my “personal space” being invaded, but this doesn’t mean that certain gadgets don’t work.
If you’re looking for a solution to your snoring that is clinically-proven, comfortable, and that will actually work, then the Good Morning Snore Solution is definitely something you may be interested in.

What is the Good Morning Snore Solution?
The Good Morning Snore Solution is a tongue stabilizing device specifically designed to keep the tongue from relaxing and blocking your airways while you sleep.
The product is sometimes referred to as a “tongue retaining device” and is aimed at pulling your tongue forward while you sleep, so it can’t slip back and cause an obstruction to your airways. It is this obstruction that typically causes the sound of snoring.
You are required to place the device in your mouth, ensuring that the rims are located between your lips and your teeth, and then place the tip of your tongue into the bulb tip at the front of the device.
The product comes in 2 sizes, one is suitable for adults and the other one is for a “young or smaller” adult.
How Does the Product Work?
The product itself doesn’t need to be customized in any way and will easily fit any sized mouth. With that being said, there is a “younger adult” version available.
I’ll also admit that the device does look a little silly, but then again what tongue stabilizing device doesn’t. Plus are you really bothered about how you look while you’re asleep? I’m sure as long as it does the job it’s intended to do, then that’s just fine.
Okay, so firstly you place the device into your mouth between your lips and front teeth. Then squeeze the bulb tip on the outside to open it up and then suck the air out with just the tip of your tongue.
Stick your tongue into the tip and when you let go of the bulb you will notice that the suction created pulls your tongue forward and keeps it in place.
And that is all there is to it, you are ready to go to sleep.
From the various customer testimonials I have read about the product and my own experience it typically takes a night or two to get used to the product.
It may be prone to falling out for a couple of night’s and you may notice that you slightly drool initially, but this is simply because you are getting used to the device.
Who’s Behind the Good Morning Snore Solution mouthpiece?
The original developer/inventor behind the Good Morning Snore Solution mouthpiece is Dr. Leslie Dort, a respected Calgary dentist and sleep researcher.
Dr. Dort has spent over 15 years researching and focusing her clinical practice around the diagnosis of sleep breathing disorders and therapy through oral appliances.
Dr. Dort felt that many of the snoring solutions in the marketplace were uncomfortable, complex, and often expensive. So, her mission was to create something simple but effective, and her work led her to the central idea around the Good Morning Snore Solution.
MPowrx, are the makers of the product, and have focused on the motto “Wellness Through Science” ever since their inception in 2005.
MPowrx have four guiding principles:
- People First – Their aim is to solve human problems for better living.
- Informed Intelligence – They believe that science leads the way to finding suitable solutions.
- Perfect Simplicity – They want to provide the most effective solutions, nothing more.
- Health Above All – They look to enrich the lives of others above all else.
Dr. Nancy Markley has a successful professional history of developing and commercializing medical technologies, and is the business brain behind the entire operation. A PhD in molecular biology, an entrepreneurial background, and a focus on sleep health was all she needed to get MPowrx off the ground in 2005.
Why Choose the Good Morning Snore Solution?
One of the most common “solutions” for tongue snorers is a mandibular advancement device (MAD).
As the name may suggest, this type of product is aimed at pulling the lower jaw forward, which prevents the tongue muscles from falling back and blocking the airways. This type of device allows for both mouth and nose breathing.
However, many people claim that MADs can be extremely uncomfortable and often quite painful, so a tongue stabilizing device may just be the perfect solution.
The problem as I see it is with most MADs your teeth are literally biting down and your jaw is being held in an unnatural position for 7-9 hours a night, so this will obviously lead to discomfort over time.
The same can also be said for other tongue stabilizing devices which work on the principle of applying suction to the whole tongue, which again can be very uncomfortable.
This is where I believe the Good Morning Snore Solution comes into its own – the device focuses solely on the tip of the tongue, which is actually more than enough to keep the tongue from blocking your airways.
So, thank you Dr. Leslie Dort for realizing this and inventing the ideal solution.
Is It Effective in Treating Sleep Apnea?
The product will significantly reduce (or even completely eliminate) snoring, but the main focus is on the obstruction caused to the airways by the tongue. However, it won’t address any issues caused by the relaxation of the nasal soft tissues and the uvula.
The Journal of Sleep and Breathing conducted a study and found that approximately 73% of participants found the Good Morning Snore Solution to be effective.
Therefore, over a quarter of the study group did not find the device to be a suitable solution.
However, I think it’s important to note that the website is extremely transparent about the use of their product. They quite clearly state that while it can be effective for mild to moderate sleep apnea, it is not recommended for those of you who suffer from central or severe obstructive sleep apnea.
So, if you are unsure about the degree of your snoring, or whether you indeed have sleep apnea, then please consult with your Doctor before choosing to purchase this product.
If you are someone who uses a CPAP machine for sleep apnea then you must talk to your Doctor first before even thinking about replacing it with this product. Clinical studies, like the one conducted by the Journal of Sleep and Breathing do support the fact that it can be used for mild to moderate sleep apnea.
There are also various testimonials made by actual customers who found it a great temporary solution to use while on holiday or other circumstances when they were unable to use a CPAP machine.
Can The Good Morning Snore Solution Be Used By All Snorers?
I think it’s important to realize that the device requires you to breathe through your nose, so this isn’t a viable option for people who snore due to blocked or constricted nasal passages.
If you are someone who suffers with allergies or regularly gets colds/flu then this device is not for you.
We are aware that breathing through the nose is actually the best way to breathe while you sleep, but as I say this isn’t always an option for everyone.
The product is not suitable for those with gum disease or advanced periodontal diseases. However, it is perfectly safe to use for people with dentures and may even be used in place of a mouthguard for anyone with bruxism (teeth grinding).
So, all-in-all the Good Morning Snore Solution can be effective for the vast majority of tongue, mouth and throat snoring, but it is not recommended if you’re snoring is caused due to restrictions of the nasal passages.
Is There Anything Else I Need to Know?
Here’s a list of things I feel may be important to many of you before you go ahead and purchase the Good Morning Snore Solution:
- The product has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a suitable over-the-counter aid to reduce snoring. In order to receive FDA clearance a product will undergo strict safety testing and must be proven to be effective.
- The mouthpiece is made from a plastic resin that is commonly used in the production of oral appliances. The plastic is free from BPA and BHA. The product is also ISO-certified, meaning that it conforms to strict medical device standards.
- The Good Morning Snore Solution is manufactured in the Midwestern United States and all the materials are sourced from within the US.
- MPowrx has locations in the US and Canada, but their website offers a specific European checkout facility, and can be shipped to just about anywhere in the world.
- There are taxes (20%) and a shipping fee ($9.95, although this depends on where in the world the product is being shipped) to be added at the checkout.
- The website is however offering a 20% discount until 30th June 2020 if you enter the code SPRING20 at checkout.
How Long Does The Good Morning Snore Solution Last?
As long as you regularly clean and maintain the product then it should last for up to 12 months. So, effectively the Good Morning Snore Solution costs you less than $0.25 per day, not bad at all when you consider the difference it could potentially make to your life.
You will receive a packet of Efferdent Power Clean Crystals with the product. These crystals are typically used as a denture cleanser and are said to kill 99.9% of odor-causing bacteria, so will be perfectly safe to use on your device.
I think it’s important to note that the crystals do contain persulfates, which are known to cause certain allergic reactions, especially irritation or gum rash.
If you find that this is the case then you may wish to try another denture cleanser, although even just toothpaste and water is a perfectly acceptable alternative.
I think the Good Morning Snore Solution is a great product for tongue snorers, especially those who have tried mandibular advancement devices and found that they typically suffer with jaw soreness.
I wouldn’t recommend this as a product for people who suffer from obstructive sleep disorder, as there are other options available to you. I would also suggest that if you do have sleep apnea then it isn’t advisable to go with a product that restricts certain types of breathing.
- The product doesn’t require the entire tongue to be constrained and is aimed at just the tip of the tongue.
- It won’t cause jaw soreness that is associated with MADs.
- The product can be used with dentures and can actually reduce or eliminate teeth grinding.
- It is very easy to clean and will last up to a year.
- The device can be shipped to various parts of the globe.
- You have a 30-day money back guarantee, so if for any reason you find the device doesn’t work, you can request a refund.
- The device is specifically aimed at tongue snorers and you won’t be able to use it if you suffer from allergies or have blocked or constricted nasal passages.
- It will take a couple of days to get used to, so it may fall out of your mouth or you may notice slight drooling until you get used to the product.
- There are taxes and shipping to be added to your order (which for me in the UK totalled over $30).
Overall, with the 30-day money back guarantee you really have nothing to lose. You can try the product out for a whole month and if you’re not satisfied or you feel it doesn’t work for you then you can request a refund.
