It is estimated that around 30% of the general population suffer from some form of disruption to their sleep.

Around 10% of people display symptoms that are consistent with insomnia.

So, it’s fair to say that insomnia is a huge worldwide problem.

The Six Steps to Sleep Program is aimed at providing a solution to your sleep issues.

The program will help you to implement specific lifestyle changes, make use of special audio recordings, provide you with a sleep diet guide and a weekly sleep planner.

The Six Step to Sleep Program claims it will show you:

  • How to fall asleep within 10 minutes of getting into bed.
  • How to stop your mind racing when you’re trying to fall asleep.
  • How to sleep for 7+ hours without waking up during the night.
  • How to sleep well when you have a big occasion or nerve-wracking event the following day.
  • How to sleep undisturbed when sharing a bed with your partner.
  • How to sleep soundly in new environments.

Who is the Face Behind the Six Steps to Sleep Program?

Peter Litchfield is an author who was born in North London in 1978.

His first experience of professional writing came from writing music reviews for music-related publications, such as DJ Magazine, Touch Magazine, and various others.

Peter had suffered with sleeping problems throughout his teens and so when he started writing and working within the music industry the obvious late nights just made his issues with sleep even worse.

He had extremely irregular sleeping patterns and this just left him feeling exhausted. His body clock was unable to differentiate between night and day, so he turned to sleeping pills as a temporary fix.

Peter sought help from his doctor for many years before eventually being referred to a sleep specialist in London’s Harley Street.

He took a course in sleep hygiene therapy and this literally changed his entire life. The quality of Peter’s sleep drastically improved.

This led Peter to extensively research sleep problems in order to cure his own insomnia permanently.

Peter studied the early paleolithic communities (our hunter-gatherer ancestors), all the way through to the routines of modern-man. He discovered that insomnia started to manifest into society post the invention of electricity, and even more so post the agricultural revolution.

The result of his considerable studies is The Six Steps to Sleep Program. The program is widely considered to be an authority on good sleep hygiene practices, and has received positive endorsements from sleep specialists worldwide.

How Does the Product Work?

The program has a number of components to it:

The Six Steps to Sleep Book

The main reading material will introduce you to concepts around your circadian rhythm. This is your body’s 24-hour internal clock, otherwise known as your sleep-wake cycle.

There are certain things you could be doing during the day, as well as the evening, that can lead to a better night’s sleep.

The book discusses various issues around lifestyle, diet, and stress and anxiety, all of which can have an adverse effect on how you sleep at night.

Audio Guides and Presentations

There is a specific audio based around sleep hypnosis. Now, before you start worrying about being put into a trance, it’s probably best that I explain.

This is simply a way to release the negative thought patterns and stresses from your day in order to help you sleep at night.

I’m sure many of you are only to aware of how much an overactive imagination can ruin a good night’s rest.

There are also a number “Binaural Beats” audios. This is a specific therapy that helps to slow brainwave activity.

We are aware that brainwaves are measured Hertz (Hz) the same as electronic equipment.

A fully awake and alert brain runs at around 20Hz-40Hz. Relaxed brainwaves run at 4HZ-8Hz and a brain in deep sleep is 1Hz-4Hz. So, slowly brainwave activity is crucial to good sleeping patterns.

Binaural beats work by transferring different frequencies to each ear individually via earphones until they finally meet in the middle, which will then help to relax the brain, thus getting you ready for sleep.

Don’t worry the program comes with a complete binaural beats guide.

A Sleep Diet Guide and Weekly Sleep Planner

As I’ve alluded to in various articles on this website your diet plays a huge part in the quality of your sleep.

Peter includes a guide which not only discusses foods that could be hampering your sleep, but also certain recipes which have been proven to aid a great night’s rest.

You will also receive a weekly sleep planner so you can see how well you are progressing in terms of your sleeping patterns on a daily and weekly basis.

What Do I Think of the Six Steps to Sleep Program?

Having gone through the program I completely agree with pretty much everything that Peter has said and written about.

The vast majority of people who suffer from sleep issues, such as insomnia, can make certain changes to their everyday lifestyle and will start to seeing immediate differences in the quality of their sleep.

I am fully aware (now) of the sleep problems I was causing myself through things like my nutrition, my exercise regime, my use of electronic equipment during the evening, my work and home life stresses, and my forever racing imagination.

I must admit I was a little skeptical about the use of sleep hypnosis and binaural beats, but as I’ve mentioned above this was also something I didn’t know much about.

So, I conducted my own research into the effects of our brainwaves on our sleeping patterns and it makes a lot of sense.

One of my biggest issues with sleep over the years has been the inability to “turn my mind off”. I’ll often go to bed raking over things that have happened during the day, or worrying about tasks I had to perform the following day.

I did turn to meditation as a way to quieten my mind and I will admit with some varied success. However, I always felt as though there was something missing.

Peter’s Six Steps to Sleep program seems to hold the key to that missing link.

I like the fact that you don’t have to break the bank to purchase the product – I mean how much is a good night’s sleep worth to you?

The countless lost hours of being sleep-deprived at work and not being able to perform at your best. The various other methods you may have already tried to get a good night’s sleep.

For just $19 you have solution at your fingertips.

I also like the fact that there is a 60-day money back guarantee.

So, you can try the product for yourself, safe in the knowledge that if you’re not satisfied for any reason, you can just ask for your money back.

In Summary

The Six Steps to Sleep Program is the real deal.

There are over 150,000 satisfied customers who have tried and succeeded with the program.

There is a wealth of positive endorsements from experts within the sleep industry.

The product uses completely natural techniques and can have you sleeping like a baby in under a week.

You have the guarantee of your money back for up to two months.

Plus, at $19 this is probably one of the least expensive cures for insomnia in the marketplace.

To me, it’s an absolute no-brainer.

If you’re someone who struggles with sleep, and you’re desperate for a solution, you really need look no further.

  2. This sounds interesting. My sister has had insomnia issues ever since she gave birth to her lovely son. He’s two years six months now. Yesterday I was asking her if she still struggling with a poor sleep. I was surprised to learn that the problem is still there. As you’ve alluded diet is a contributing factor. My sister is one person I know that loves processed foods and she stresses a lot. I’ll refer her to your side maybe she’ll find this product as interesting as I do. I like the fact that it is affordable as well. Thank you for sharing.

    • Hi Maggie,

It’s great to hear from you.

I’m sorry to hear of your sister’s issues with insomnia.

Giving birth and parenting in general is tough enough as it is, without the addtional worries of a lack of sleep.

Yes, as you say, the presence of stress and indeed processed foods may well be a contributing factor.

Please do pass the details onto your sister, I’m sure it will be of interest.

      Thanks

  3. The video is a nice touch. It lends to your credibility and personalizes your post. To be honest I’ve never experienced chronic difficulties getting to sleep… I’ve had blips here and there with insomnia, enough to understand how frustrating it can be. I can’t imagine what strategies or techniques that could help… it must be interesting.

    • Hi Bob,

      Thanks for popping by.

I’m glad you like the video, although I must admit it isn’t actually me, but the lady in question was happy to share her experience of the program.

I guess you’re one of the lucky one’s Bob. I suffered at the hands of insomnia for many years, but it took me a long time to understand that there were things I could do in my everyday life to improve the situation.

Simply following what Peter refers to as good sleep hygiene is the key.

      Thanks

    • Hi Anestis,

Thank you for your kind comments.

Oh yes, sleep disorders are far more serious than simply losing a few hours sleep.

Unfortunately, if left untreated, many of these disorders can lead to life-threatening conditions.

      Thanks
